Cover Supervisor Required
Tonypandy & Surrounding Area
£100- £110 per day
Immediate Start – Part-time
Teaching Personnel are actively seeking a Cover Supervisor to provide general supply cover to KS3 and KS4 classes in one of our partnership schools. The position will run on a part-time basis initially with scope to move into a more regular position if the successful applicant establishes a good relationship with the school. The position is open for an immediate start and therefore interviews will be held online via Microsoft Teams over the next 2 weeks.
What does a Cover Supervisor do?
Deliver pre-set work by Subject Teacher to classes
Take register of attendance at the start of each lesson
Manage any challenging behaviours in accordance with school policy
Safeguard and ensure student wellbeing
Communicate with line-management in school
What do I need to be a Cover Supervisor?
Minimum 5 GCSEs in core subjects
Passion for education
No formal educational qualifications are required
Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
Valid registration with the EWC
*Teaching Personnel can provide assistance with your DBS and EWC registration*
Our partnership school is based in the Tonypandy area and is home to over 1000 students. You will be covering sickness, COVID and any other absences in the school. Due to the current climate with absences and COVID the position could well be a full-time position if the successful candidate is accepting of more work. As stated, the cover is for classes of KS3 and KS4 students therefore confidence to deliver work at GCSE level is key. As this role is typically ad-hoc, if you are wanting more work then you have the opportunity to work within schools across South Wales.
