Job Role: DT Technician
Location: Greenwich
Rate: £100 - £130 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Temporary for a month but could be extended, Full Time
Are you a skilled DT Technician looking to work in a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Greenwich? We are seeking a motivated individual to support the Design and Technology department by ensuring lessons run smoothly and safely. As a DT Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining equipment, preparing materials, and supporting students in their practical learning.
Key Responsibilities of the DT Technician:
Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for DT lessons, ensuring they are in safe and working order.
Provide technical support to teachers and students during practical sessions.
Maintain and repair DT equipment, including Pillar Drills, Lathes, Soldering equipment, and Turning tools.
Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed at all times within the workshop and classroom.
Assist in organising and managing stock levels of materials and resources.
Requirements for the DT Technician role:
Some knowledge of Pillar Drills, Lathes, Soldering, and Turning equipment is essential.
Experience working in a Design and Technology workshop or similar environment.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
A commitment to ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with staff and students.
