Job Opportunity: Yard Shunter / Marshall (Temp-to-Perm)

Location: Normanton
Hours: 14:00 Midnight, Monday to Friday
Perm Salary: £40,400

Hourly Rate £15 to £17 per hour whilst on your temp to perm.

Are you an experienced yard shunter ready for a temp-to-perm role with a great team in Normanton? This opportunity offers a stable work schedule and will become a permanent part of our operations.

Key Requirements:

• Shunting experience with a yard tug is essential.
• Class 1 licence preferable
• Strong organizational skills to manage yard flow and assist in daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform minor repairs and manage defect reporting in the yard.
• Control and coordinate trailer movement and load placement.
• Assist drivers with load strapping for safe transport.
• Shunt trailers on and off bays as needed.
• Download and manage fleet tachographs to ensure compliance.
• Support with PMI trailer control, ensuring dispatch for inspections.
• Conduct regular yard sweeps and uphold yard organization.
• Collaborate closely with the transport and warehouse teams to ensure seamless operations.
