My client is a leading apparel manufacturer with a proven track record of innovation and ethical practices, who are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Strategic Business Lead to manage Knitwear operations for the UK Team.
The role of Strategic Business Lead will focus on formulating innovative marketing strategies in collaboration with selected high street retailers, ensuring alignment with their organisation’s customer strategy. The ideal candidate will work closely with design, sourcing, product development, and merchandising teams. Additionally, the role will involve liaising with manufacturing teams overseas to ensure seamless product delivery and execution. This position is crucial for driving overall business growth and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Strategic Business Lead – Knitwear
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
* Develop and implement targeted business development to promote the business in alignment with the organisation’s customer strategy and selected partners.
* Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, utilising data-driven insights to inform future strategies.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, fostering effective communication and collaboration to drive shared success.
* Create engaging marketing materials and presentations tailored to the target audience.
* Represent the company at industry events and meetings, showcasing the organisation's strengths and capabilities to create business opportunities.
* Stay updated on market competitiveness, customer trends, new products, materials, and suppliers to enhance competitiveness and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
* Collaborate closely with design, sourcing, product development, and merchandising teams—to establish product development and cost strategies. This includes liaising with manufacturing teams overseas to ensure seamless product delivery and execution, ultimately driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
* Develop and manage the Critical Path
* Integrate sustainability considerations into marketing and merchandising operations to align with corporate sustainability goals by promoting sustainable materials and products.
Strategic Business Lead – Knitwear
EXPERIENCE
* 5-7 years of managerial experience in Sales / Account / Business development management.
* Capability and capacity to manage a complex business model across multiple departments with High Volume retailers
* Experience in handling UK brands (preferably Marks & Spencer, Primark, George, Sainsbury’s).
* Sound knowledge on all merchandising activities from product development to execution, critical path management and costings.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a charismatic personality.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and relations effectively.
* Strong network with high street retailers in the UK.
* Experience working collaboratively with cross functional teams in the UK and Offshore.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Strong customer orientation and performance-driven individual.
* Ability to convert challenges to opportunities and deliver projects assigned under tight deadlines as per business needs.
