We are looking for field technicians; The ideal candidate will have a wide-ranging technical skill set based around installation and fault finding of domestic networking, software and AV equipment. They will also have a clean, current, driving licence and be flexible on working hours and days as the role requires some evening and weekend shifts.
The technician will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the data from the metering equipment and software in panel homes and will be covering a wide area long the M4 corridor from Reading to Bristol.
We would also consider a background in commercial installation and support of video conferencing and multiroom installations.
Responsibilities:
- Install & Maintain Equipment:Install and maintain Kantar metering equipment in panel homes.
Train panel members on the correct use of the equipment.
- Remove Equipment:Remove monitoring equipment and software when panel members opt out.
- Technical Support:Troubleshoot and resolve issues with monitoring equipment, escalating when necessary.
Return faulty equipment, clearly labeled, in a timely manner.
- Customer Interaction:Arrange appointments and provide customer support professionally.
Ensure courteous, professional service when interacting with panel members.
- Vehicle & Equipment Management:Maintain the company vehicle and store equipment safely.
- Reporting:Report on appointments, visits, and other field activities.
- Compliance with SLAs:Ensure all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met within specified timeframes.
- Work Flexibility:Flexible working hours, including weekends.
- Technical Skills:Experience with installing and servicing TV metering equipment.
Knowledge of A/V routing (HDMI, SCART, Composite video) in home environments.
Familiarity with home networking, routers, and basic hardware/software installations.
- Autonomy:Ability to work without direct supervision, manage schedules, and meet deadlines.
- Customer Service:Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills to represent Kantar in panel homes.
- Qualifications & Experience:Experience in A/V systems and technology, with possible qualifications in electronics, audio/video, or TV servicing.
Proficient in installing software on Windows PCs, Macs, iOS, and Android.
- Driving & Documentation:A valid driving license (with no more than 6 points) and willingness to drive across the UK.
CRB check required.
