Account Assistant – Full Time or Part-Time (Flexible hours)
AAT (Desirable) experience working in a Accountancy Practice
EXPERIENCED: Sage 50, VT and Quickbooks or similar.
Full time: Office hours: Mon-Thurs 08.30am - 5.30pm - Friday’s - 0900am -1.00pm
Part time: Minimum 30 hrs
General Description
The accounts assistant will be reporting to the Accounts Manager, your responsibilities in this exciting and challenging role will be varied, offering exposure to all aspects of client accounting, including preparation of financial statements and quarterly management accounts. Working with a variety of clients in different industry sectors you will have a key role in the successful running of the accounts department.
Main Duties of the post
Preparation of annual accounts for Limited companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships and LLPs for review
Preparation of corporation tax computations
Preparation of quarterly management accounts
Manage own portfolio of client accounts
Co-ordinate agreed timeframe with clients for accounts production
Liaise with clients, HMRC and Companies House & deal with general queries
Undertake other duties that may be considered reasonable by the Directors, Accounts Manager and the post holder
Accounts Assistant Knowledge - Essential
Understand how to produce effective finance reports - Produce full set of accounts from accounting records, including disclosures, and produce corporation tax computations are essential.
Must be conversant with all aspects of Sage 50, VT and Quickbooks or similar.
Must be competent in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
