Job Description
Reporting into the Senior Editor and working closely with the Editor - Sport, the Editorial Assistant will provide full administrative support to the Editorial Team. Taking responsibility for all team admin and content updates, the role will work closely with the wider Creative Team, Marketing Team and Customer Team to deliver timely content across fascias and content touch points, with a focus on FLANNELS, FRASERS and Sports Direct.

- Assist the Senior Editor and Editor - Sport across the Luxury and Premium Lifestyle division and Sports division at Frasers Group, with a focus on FLANNELS, FRASERS and Sports Direct.
- Upload articles to editorial platforms in a timely manner.
- Maintain editorial platforms and touchpoints across fascias, updating content regularly and on deadline.
- Assisting with researching stories and trends and creating dossiers on interview subjects to help inform articles and content planning.
- Transcribing interviews for editors.
- Assisting with image research for stories across content touchpoints.
- Briefing in content to Design and Web Teams.
- Responsibility for all admin across the Editorial Team, including raising POs and updating calendars.
- Working closely with the SEO Team to carry out keyword research and planning.
- Working closely with the Social Team to generate content ideas.
Qualifications
- Relevant work experience within a retail / marketing department or publishing environment.
- An excellent grasp of grammar and solid writing skills.
- Highly organised.
- Self-motivated, proactive and adaptable with a keen eye for detail.
- Process driven but creative.
- Culturally aware and loves fashion and beauty.
- A passion for keeping active and up to date with what's happening in the sporting landscape.
- Good research and analytical skills.
- Strong listening skills.
- The ability to work independently and flexibly with a positive can-do mentality.
- Understanding of SEO and how this shapes content.
- Experience using a CMS is an advantage.

Our Recruitment Team will be reviewing applications and all candidates will receive a response, whether you are successful or unsuccessful. Shortlisted applicants may be asked to confirm a few key details before being booked in for a first stage interview with the Recruiter- this will be behaviourally focussed and centred around how you align with our Culture and Values. If successful we anticipate two further interview stages with the Hiring Manager/wider team which will be more technically focussed and could include a presentation/task so we can see your skills in action.
