Are you looking for a role where you would be working alongside an experienced health and safety professional to learn from and develop your skill set?
Principal People are delighted to work alongside a construction contractor specialising in, refurbishment, roofing, reactive maintenance and new build construction based near Greenwich.
The organisation are looking for an operational health and safety advisor to drive forward health and safety within the organisation. The role reports to the Head of Health and Safety of the organisation, covering sites in East London and surrounding counties consisting of varied construction projects.
What is in it for you?
Salary up to £55,000
Car Allowance of £5000 + Mileage
Standard Pension
25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays Key Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Advisor include:
Conducting hands-on health and safety duties including site audits, site inspections, accident investigation and risk assessments.
Delivering training, mentoring and coaching to on-site teams to drive forward the health and safety function.
Working closely with all stakeholders and building relationships with them.
Attending onsite and office meetings as needed.
Supporting the Health and Safety Manager with developing and implementing policies and procedures. The Successful Health and Safety Advisor will hold:
NEBOSH General or Construction (or equivalent) is essential.
Experience within the construction or infrastructure industry
Experience and qualifications in Temporary Works, Working at Height and Lifting Operations is preferred but not essential. If you are interested and would like to learn more, please apply today
