ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR – PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Their Defence Infrastructure team are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record for the management and delivery of defence infrastructure projects.
You will be joining an established team to help deliver a variety of major capital spend projects, working collaboratively with the client, other stakeholders and your multi-disciplined colleagues.
About the role
Our client is seeking a high-performing Senior Project Manager who can demonstrate a flexible management skillset:
A leader with the ability to deliver successful outcomes
A collaborative team manager who will work with the whole project team to develop objectives and agree ways of working
Experienced in managing NEC 3/4 contracts ensuring compliance with the terms of the contract including management of change control
Monitor progress against the schedule managing resources against the baseline and identify variances that require action
Monitor financial performance throughout the project and prepare reports for stakeholders
Responsibility for Risk Management and developing mitigation plans
Manages the consistent application of quality assurance processes and standards
Able to establish and maintain governance structures that define clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities for governance
Develop and disseminate a stakeholder management and communications plan to meet the objectives of the project.
Establish and manage review points, which will inform governance and provide evaluations of progress.
About you
Suitable applicants should be able to demonstrate:
Experience working on defence infrastructure projects
PMQ Accredited preferably
NEC 3/4 accredited preferably
SC preferable, but suitability for security clearance if not currently cleared
Demonstrable experience of managing multiple projects
Strong communication skills including the ability to manage meetings with senior client representatives
A collaborative approach including managing large technical teams
Proven ability to deliver to deadlines
Able to identify and develop a phased approach to delivery, working collaboratively with the client to understand and agree the project requirements
Team player, able to deliver multiple projects to tight deadlines and to form effective relationships.
Good practical application of Microsoft Software, including Project, Excel and Word
Ability to prepare and implement a range of project tools including programmes, risk registers, Stakeholder Management Plans, Project Execution Plans and Quality Assurance Plans
Professional and ethical in everything that you do
Driving licence preferable
