KS1 SEND Teaching Assistant (Full-time, Temporary)
Newcastle Upon Tyne
£416.65 - £450 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)
December 2024 – July 2025
The School and Role
A Primary School situated in Newcastle are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team and work full-time from December 2024. The successful candidate will be offering 1:1 support to two pupils throughout the course of the week, spending the morning in Year 1 and afternoon in Year 2. Both pupils have complex needs and require a nurturing, knowledgeable and pro-active Teaching Assistant to support them. This is a temporary role which will turn permanent over time.
Requirements
The desired Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEND.
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Preferably have experience of working in Key Stage 1.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A calm and approachable manner.
