Job Description
Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Behaviour Mentors to join a highly regarded SEMH school for male students in Horsham. This specialized environment supports primary and secondary pupils with complex mental health and behavioural needs, often stemming from childhood trauma and PTSD.
About the Role: As a Behaviour Mentor, you’ll work closely with students throughout the school day, assisting them across a variety of subjects, including PE, DT, Food Tech, Forest School, Music, Art, and Graphic Design, alongside core academic studies. You’ll play an essential role in helping students develop confidence, resilience, and self-esteem, establishing positive professional relationships with them.
Ideal Candidates Will Be:
Patient, Resilient, and Enthusiastic: Ready to support students displaying challenging behaviour with compassion and persistence.
Committed and Reliable: Able to work full time, Monday to Friday (8:30 - 16:00/16:30).
Supportive: Skilled in building rapport and understanding individual student needs, creating a safe space for growth and learning.
What We Offer:
Competitive Annual Salary: £25,944 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience and role within the school.
Year-Round Pay: Includes full pay over half terms, bank holidays, and summer holidays.
