Job Description
TeacherActive are working with an independent school in recruiting for a Humanities teacher from January 2024. Nestled in the heart of Kent with a rich heritage of academic excellence and a strong commitment to personal development, this is a great opportunity for any experienced or recently qualified Humanities teachers.
The Role:
We are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a supportive teaching environment. The successful candidate will teach across the Humanities curriculum, including History, Geography, and Politics, with the opportunity to inspire and challenge students at both Key Stage 3 and 4, as well as delivering A-Level courses to senior students.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning in students.
Foster critical thinking, research, and analytical skills in the Humanities.
Assess, track, and report on student progress.
Contribute to the development of curriculum materials and innovative teaching strategies.
Support extracurricular activities and whole-school initiatives.
Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
Person Specification:
Teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and experience in a secondary school setting.
A passion for the Humanities and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
A vibrant, supportive staff community committed to excellence.
