Job Description

Management Accountant

Working in a busy and ever-changing lean manufacturing environment, with the opportunity to use your knowledge and skillset to support the financial controller.

Management Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Production of monthly management accounts including journals, reconciliations, overhead analysis.
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee inter-company invoicing and reconciling group balances.
  • Responsible for maintaining the standard cost of Raw Materials, WIP and Finished Goods
  • Reporting productions variances, implementing changes / improvements with the production team to resolve costing or process issues.
  • Monitoring costs against budgets and investigating variances.
  • Preparing weekly cash flow forecasting.
  • Quarterly VAT Returns.
  • Supporting site Financial Controller.
  • Providing line management and guidance to the Finance Administrator
  • Opportunity to support the implementation of the new ERP system in 2024, ensuring data integrity and ownership going forward


What we're looking for in the successful Management Accountant:

  • CIMA or ACCA fully qualified or finalist.
  • Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Maths or equivalent experience
  • Management Accountant with experience of Manufacturing environments
  • Cost & Project Accounting
  • Able to work autonomously and part of integrated teams
  • Somebody who has further career ambitions to develop into a Financial Controller in the future
