Full Time

33,000 per annum plus monthly service charge typically 2,400 per annum

48 hours

Key Responsibilities

This is a unique chance to be part of a team delivering the ultimate dining experience, as the Assistant Restaurant Manager you’ll be reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager and will be overseeing all aspects of Front of House experience within Shaun Rankin's Fine Dining Restaurant & Private Dining Room at Grantley Hall. This is an amazing opportunity to work within one of the best Restaurants in Yorkshire.

  • Working alongside the Restaurant Manager to run the shifts
  • Meeting and greeting customers, organising table reservations
  • To lead, manage and inspire your staff to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Counting cash, reconciling payments and banking according to company systems
  • Responsible for rotas/staffing levels
  • Training and development of all staff using the company procedures
  • Responding to customer queries and complaints
  • Ensure each customer receives impeccable service
  • Taking customers food orders
  • Delegating tasks and checking their execution
  • Undertake monthly stock takes and overseeing and ordering of stock
  • Responsible for H&S, FSA requirements, Allergy Laws and Hygiene ratings

About You

  • To be confident, self motivated and present a professional persona in all circumstances
  • Have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong administration skills including diary management
  • Strong IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and other commonly used office packages, and a working knowledge of GDPR
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to work accurately, with high attention to detail
  • The ability to manage workload and work under pressure to deadlines is essential
  • Good teamworking skills and the ability to work with the wider team to ensure tasks are completed within a specified timeframe
  • Project management skills Experience of meeting structure and etiquette
  • A high level of confidentiality
  • A flexible approach is essential given the fast-changing environment we will work in and the varied aspects of the role
  • Held a similar position within a Michelin or 4 x AA Rosette establishment
