Job Description

Are you a Fully Qualified Teacher looking for a change Or just a dedicated educator with a heart for making a difference, working with children who have special educational needs?

If so, we are currently searching for a FQT with previous SEN experience or SEN FQT.

About Us:

Teaching Personnel work closesly with SEN Schools across Essex supporting them with their vacacnies and staffig gaps. The schools we work with believe every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. The specialist SEN schools are committed to providing an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment for students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties. The dedicated staff and tailored curriculums at these schools ensure that each student receives the support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role:

We are looking for a fully qualified teacher with a passion for working with SEN students. You will be responsible for delivering creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of each individual learner. As part of a supportive team, you will work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, and therapists to foster a positive and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities and learning styles.
Implement Educational Health Care Plans and track student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment where students feel valued and encouraged.
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to ensure each child’s needs are met holistically.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior, reporting regularly to senior staff and parents.

Requirements:

Fully Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience working with children with special educational needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage challenging behaviors and foster positive outcomes.
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

Additional qualifications in SEN or experience with specific needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech and Language Difficulties, or Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties.
Experience in using augmentative communication strategies and other SEN-specific learning tools.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
