HGV Class 1 Day driver

Are you ready to take on the open road? James Kemball, a proud member of the Uniserve Group, is seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team.

About the Role:

Please note this role is part time, ideally at the weekends.

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of containers across the UK. Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely and efficiently operating HGV Class 1 vehicles
• Adhering to all road traffic regulations and company policies
• Completing accurate paperwork and logs
• Maintaining a clean and well-maintained vehicle

What We're Looking For:

• Valid HGV Class 1 C+E licence
• 2 years Class 1
• Up-to-date Driver Qualification Card (DQC) and Digital Tachograph Card
• RHIDES Card
• Clean driving licence with minimal points
• Strong understanding of road traffic regulations, including Driver Hours and Tachograph rules
• Experience with splitter trailers and container handling (preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive and team-oriented approach
• Must be punctual
• Pay attention to detail
• Be courteous to customers and other staff members.
• Good attitude towards work.
