Class 1 Driver

DBR Group, acting as an employment business are recruiting Class 1 Day and Night drivers for our client in Middleton.

This client uses DBR Group for on-going work. This is not ad-hoc.

You must have at least 24 months Class 1 Driving experience for insurance purposes.

The Job

This work involves collecting and delivering cages to stores and some trunking work, to the Midlands or Scotland.

Based on Monday to Friday with voluntary overtime at the weekends.

You will first complete a drugs and alcohol test, followed by a short driving assessment.

If you are successful, you will then be assigned to a driver for a full week of training.

From there, you will be put on the rota, and you will work Monday to Friday on your allocated shift.

Day shifts usually start at 0600hrs.

Night shifts usually start at 1800hrs.

The Pay (PAYE)

Day Drivers

Basic Rate: £16.00 per hour

Overtime: £24.00 per hour

Saturday: £24.00 per hour

Sunday: £26.00 per hour

Bank Holiday: £26.00 per hour

Night Drivers

Basic Rate: £17.00 per hour

Overtime: £25.50 per hour

Saturday: £25.50 per hour

Sunday: £30.00 per hour

Bank Holiday: £30.00 per hour

Key Skills Required

Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence Entitlement.

2 Years Class 1 Driving experience for insurance purposes.

Physically fit and able to carry out the role.

Excellent Geographical knowledge.

Excellent Communication skills.

Excellent Customer service skills.

A sound understanding of the WTD and Drivers hours rules.
