Class 2 Driver

WPRG are recruiting Class 2 Drivers on a permanent basis for a company based in Dagenham.

This is a simple position in a very niche market but requires someone who has excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

- Collections from 5 Star hotels, high end and blue chip companies by specialist 'bins'
- Follow set routes, average 15 collections per day depending on size of each collection.
- Load and unload items collected from designated/requested areas at customer site
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers as necessary
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and transportation

Requirements & Skills:

- Valid driver's license with a maximum of 6 penalty points for minor endorsements
- Proven experience as a Class 2 driver
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to navigate using GPS systems or maps
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of cargo

You are required to follow set routes collecting primarily in Essex & London but also to customers within the M25.

There start times vary depending on the route you are working but generally start times are between 0400-0900. Working Monday to Friday, with overtime available at the weekends. Full paid training is given. Immediate start available.

Pay rates are:

Option 1 - Including holiday pay:

Monday to Friday: £19.05

Saturdays & Overtime after 48hrs £28.17

Sunday is £38

Option 2 - accrue holiday pay

Monday to Friday: £17

Saturdays & Overtime after 48hrs £25

Sunday is £34
