Job Description

Are you a creative and friendly Cook with a passion for preparing nutritious and well-balanced meals?

We have a fantastic opportunity for a part time Cook to join our team based in our care home in Cheltenham on a permanent basis, working 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9.30am to 2.30pm)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing, cooking, and serving well balanced and nutritious food and ensuring that food is stored according to food hygiene legislation
  • Promoting high standards and complying with all relevant legislation and regulations
  • Completion of written daily logs.
  • Managing and being accountable for food budgets.
  • Carrying out food and fridge temperature checks, and recording as necessary
  • Interacting with our service users daily and overseeing service user activities within the kitchen.
  • Planning menus in consultation with the manager and service users and ensuring that there are sufficient quantities of stock to enable the meals to be prepared
  • Ensure that all areas of the kitchen are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and the cleaning schedule is adhered to.

About The Knole

The Knole is a Registered care home for men with multiple needs, including substance misuse, mental health needs or a learning disability. It is located in Cheltenham.The project is a Forensic Step-Down facility with a small friendly team of 16and we have 15 clients.
