Job Description
We are seeking a Production Manager who will oversee all company’s production processes including
production KPIs and quality standards. They are responsible for ensuring product is produced and shipped by scheduled due dates according to the production schedule. Production Managers will also consistently review employees and their processes to evaluate areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Manage and lead a team of production and warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, productivity, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Production Management:
- Oversee daily production schedules to ensure timely and efficient operations.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and operational efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Manage inventory levels and oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of materials and products.
- Ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting, including conducting regular stock audits.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to improve efficiency and safety.
- Safety:
- Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
- Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety training and audits to promote a safe working environment.
- Quality control:
- Set and enforce quality standards, monitor product standards, and implement quality control programs
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure product quality meets company standards.
- Address production or quality issues promptly and effectively.
- Take responsibility for equipment maintenance, conduct regular inspections, and organize repairs
- Communication and Reporting:
- Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
- Prepare and present reports on production and warehouse performance metrics to senior management.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production and warehouse management.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and logistics.
- Proficient in using warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification (preferred)
