The Horseshoes Pub, known locally as the Shoes, occupies a prominent site off High St in central Newmarket, home of horse racing in the UK. The nearest towns are Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds which are both only a 20 minutes’ drive away.

The pub has a main bar as you enter with trading areas to the right and left and a rear bar area which in the past has been used for pool and darts and as a separate function room.

The pub has traded to the local community and the racing fraternity and was previously driven by Sports and Live music.

The pub is close to the racing community and used by many of the staff and management in the area.

Ideal operator

We’re seeking an experienced pub operator with good local knowledge and an interest in sports and music. You’ll be an excellent host and creative when thinking of new ways to drive footfall to your pub.

Private accommodation

We’re looking for a local operator, as there is no private accommodation available at this pub.
