Salary: £58310 - £68600Category: Human Resources

The Role:

Skills are a key priority and escalating risk for the NDA group; ensuring that we have the right people with the rights skills in the right place at the right time is a key theme of our overarching strategy. There is a shortage of skilled Commercial & Procurement professionals across the UK, creating a gap between the demand and availability of trained workers. The market is competitive, and many of our sites are based in remote locations. This role is designed to address the skills challenge across the Function by implementing our group wide Commercial People Development Strategy.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a group approach to formal learning, including the aggregation of common training requirements.
  • Promote a group learning culture, actively contributing to the upskilling of the Commercial community.
  • Develop key interventions and activities to make a marked and measurable improvement on Commercial recruitment & retention.
  • Lead solutions that effectively onboard, develop, and retain early talent across the group Commercial function.

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone to promote a shared vision for development opportunities, supporting the design and implementation of one Commercial career pathway.
  • Strong collaboration skills, as working with Operating Companies is key to understand workforce needs and priorities.
  • This role would suit a CIPD or MCIPS qualified professional keen to demonstrate added value to this function, navigating legislation requirements, multi group structures and organisational demands.
  • Someone who has a sound understanding of the Commercial Lifecycle, with experience in specific areas, e.g. procurement policies. Demonstrable commercial acumen, with awareness of the Procurement Act 2023.
  • Demonstrable value-added experience of achieving critical interventions of the Talent Management lifecycle; Career Pathway, Commercial attraction and acquisition, and capability framework experience would be advantageous.
  • Someone who can build cross-cultural competency and helps others understand the business value of diversity.

What we offer:

  • A competitive package with a salary between £58,310 - £68,600
  • Generous performance based annual bonus scheme.
  • Defined benefit Civil Service pension scheme (please find more information here).
  • 30 days annual leave per year, plus 8 statutory public and bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time employees).

A range of family-friendly flexible working options.

Timelines

The advert closes at midnight on 10th December 2024 and we aim to appoint before the seasonal holidays.
