Senior Temporary Works Engineer - Location: London
A multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Temporary Works Engineer to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, provide structural expertise, and collaborate with a range of engineering professionals.
Role Overview: Manage and deliver temporary works designs and assessments across a range of structural elements, including but not limited to retaining walls, basements, propping, scaffolding checks, and loading assessments. Provide guidance and collaborate with teams on structural engineering projects and ensure compliance with industry standards. Engage with clients and stakeholders, taking ownership of projects both independently and as part of a team. Mentor and support junior team members, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
Key Requirements: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in temporary works engineering. Progress towards or attainment of Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. Solid understanding of engineering practices, structural principles, and relevant codes. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments. Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SCIA, TEKLA, or similar tools. Effective communication, organizational skills, and a proactive mindset.
