Job Description
Minimum requirements: Grade 12 Min of 5 year's packaging experience in the food production environment of which 2 years at management level. Proficient in MS Office Supervisory/management training / skills Own transport - must be able to work shifts Customer service orientated Drive continuous improvement processes Focus on quality, problem solving and productivity Budget and cost management Experience in packing machinery Technical background will be advantageous Role and responsibilities: Ensure sufficient stock is planned for packing to meet model stock requirements Ensure the correct raw material and packing material are used in the department Efficient communication to all packing employees at all times Optimize packing efficiency of all packers and ensure OEE benchmarks are achieved at all times Daily management of Drivers to achieve their targets as set out by the Company Identify environmental impact in your department and manage to reduce waste Ensure quality on packing lines comply with Company standards Ensure packed products comply with specifications Reduce damages and ensure targets are met Ensure equipment is used to full capacity Compile reports as per requirements Daily invocom sessions, managing staff performance Manage housekeeping (GMP's) to ensure zero infestation in your area Attend meetings as per requirement Ensure food safety (FSSC22000) is adhered to Ensure compliance to health and safety regulations Execute HR policies and procedures Identify training needs / ensure all staff are adequately trained in your department Required personal attributes: Excellent communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Resilient and agile Maintain professional, and focus on customer service at all times Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressurized environment Deadline driven and detail orientated
