Job Description
Minimum Job Requirements: National Diploma in Supply Chain Management. Minimum 5 years experience in logistics, within a manufacturing environment (preference for Automotive). Must have experience on MS Office Suite. Knowledge of supply chain management. Demonstrated supervisory skills. Key Performance Areas: Despatch: Oversee the logging and tracking of required documentation. Responsible for all paperwork for invoice processing and fulfilled orders. Safe loading/placement of material on trucks. Ensure correct deliveries to customers. Report any damages to stock immediately to management. Attend to bottlenecks and escalate to management. Monitor and maintain the Quality Management System. Ensure housekeeping and 5s is maintained. Oversee the correct packaging of all finished goods. Stores Invoice and sent out on Kanban system and reconcile with variances. Receipt raw materials. Requisitions and transfers of raw materials. Check variances on the inventory daily. Production booking. Open and close off shop orders. Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction through professional and on time deliveries. Communicate with customers and management about delivery times and special requests. Escalate short deliveries to customers to management immediately. Stock Takes and Cycle Counts: Execute monthly stock takes. Analyse and interpret stock variance reports and highlight non-conformances. Daily cycle counts analyse SOH report daily and report on variances. Moving Machinery: Daily checks on truck/forklift/stacker inspection reports. Check load tests for lifting equipment. Track license expiry dates for all Drivers of moving machinery including license renewals for trucks. Administration: Ensure timesheets are submitted weekly. Resolve pay queries. Ensure all control sheets are updated. Staff Management: Coach and counsel staff to ensure improved performance levels. Resolve grievances and disputes. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for improvements. Competencies: Knowledge and Skills: IATF requirements. Functional knowledge. Leadership. Problem-solving. Interpersonal skills. SACO time and attendance. Product and process knowledge.
