Yard Foreman / Materials Controller

Qualifications and Experience Needed A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience Extensive knowledge of material handling, inventory management, and safety protocols Understanding of the logistics and operational demands of large-scale mining projects Proficient in computer usage Fluency in English and/or Afrikaans Excellent communication skills Valid driver's license and own transport Willingness to work weekends and overtime when required Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage yard activities, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials and equipment Ensure proper handling and organization of construction materials, tools, and machinery Maintain inventory control, track stock levels, and report on material requirements Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all yard activities Maintain yard cleanliness and organization to ensure a safe working environment Assist with loading and unloading activities in the laydown area Liaise with project managers, procurement, and other departments to ensure timely delivery and availability of materials Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure the readiness of yard machinery Troubleshoot and resolve logistics, inventory, and equipment-related issues promptly Provide regular reports on yard operations, safety performance, and material status Please Note: If you do not receive a response within two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
