Position Details:
Location: Manchester
Position: KS2 Teacher
Type of Work: Class Teacher including planning, preparation, marking, and participation in parents' evenings and school events.
Contract or Position Start Date: January 2024
Duration / Likely Duration: 2 terms until the end of the academic year (July 2024)
Contract or Position End Date (if applicable): July 2024
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (subject to performance)
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Minimum Rate of Pay: Paid to scale, based on experience and qualifications
Hours: 8:30 AM 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (term time only)
About the Role
Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a highly regarded primary school in Manchester. The school fosters a vibrant and supportive community, offering professional development opportunities for all staff. This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and enthusiastic Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
As a KS2 Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum.
Support the development of pupils academic, social, and emotional growth.
Work closely with the senior leadership team and parents to ensure student progress.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued.
Experience, Training, and Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience teaching within KS2.
Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable but not essential, as training can be provided).
Eligibility Requirements
Hold Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional child-related references.
