Job Description
My cient is a reputable contractor specializing in social housing maintenance and are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Electrician to join our team. This is a temp-to-perm position, offering an excellent opportunity for career progression within a growing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring electrical systems in social housing properties are safe, functional, and compliant with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on electrical systems within social housing properties.
Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, and rectifications on electrical installations.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and emergency call-outs as required.
Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations (e.g., BS 7671) and safety standards.
Provide exceptional customer service, communicating effectively with tenants and property managers.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, including reports and certification.
Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete multi-disciplinary tasks.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.Requirements:
Qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certification is essential.
Experience working in social housing or a similar environment is desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
Full UK Driving License is mandatory (a company vehicle may be provided after a successful probation period).
Valid ECS/CSCS card preferred.
