We are a leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK and our purpose is to make everyday taste better. We supply all of the major supermarkets in the UK. We also supply convenience and travel retail outlets, discounters, coffee shops, foodservice and other retailers. We have strong market positions in a range of categories including sandwiches, salads, sushi, chilled snacking, chilled ready meals, chilled soups and sauces, chilled quiche, ambient sauces and pickles, and frozen Yorkshire puddings.

In FY22 we manufactured 795m sandwiches and other food to go products, 127m chilled prepared meals, and 249m bottles of cooking sauces, pickles and condiments. We carry out more than 10,600 direct to store deliveries each day. We have 21 world-class manufacturing units across 16 locations in the UK, with industry-leading technology and supply chain capabilities. We generated revenues of £1.7bn in FY22 and employ approximately 14,000 people.

The MBE programme presents a huge opportunity for colleagues across the technology function to play a central role in the design, shape, delivery and execution of an enterprise wide digital transformation programme. The complexity of the initiative, within a FTSE 250 business, will allow for large-scale problem solving, group wide impact assessment and supporting the delivery of an enablement project to future proof the business. You will have the opportunity to work with colleagues across the business and bring a best practice approach to the function. Designing and shaping the solution and methodologies utilising your experience and expertise gives a platform for success and team ship building as Greencore, build, mature, strengthen and bolster our technology department.

What you'll be doing:

Working as part of the IT Business Delivery team, supported by your colleagues, you will be involved large, business transformative projects
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements for IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
Evaluate current business processes within multiple business functions (e.g. supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, finance), help to identify areas for improvement, and support the work to propose solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Assess existing IT systems and applications, identifying gaps and opportunities for optimization or integration with new technologies
Be part of the team delivering the role out of our chosen ERP system (Infor System 21) to none S21 sites and standardising best practice in existing sites
Work closely with IT technical teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring that proposed solutions meet both business and technical needs
Develop test plans, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure that delivered solutions meet defined requirements and quality standards
Using a range of visual tools for process mapping and presentation to bring clarity and life to solution
Take part in communication and training sessions to support the adoption of new processes or systems, addressing user concerns and ensuring smooth transitions

What we're looking for:

Proven experience in eliciting, analysing, and documenting business requirements, as well as conducting process analysis and improvement initiatives
Familiarity with IT systems and applications such as ERP systems, business software, and reporting tools. Knowledge of SQL, application integrations, data analysis, and visualization tools is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically evaluate information, identify patterns, and propose innovative solutions to business challenges
Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and facilitate consensus in decision-making processes
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced environment, as well as willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies as needed
Excellent communication skills, be personable and confident, and can build fantastic working relationships with colleagues at all levels
Comfortable working as part of a team in large projects, managing what comes with a fast-paced environment. Moreover, we're looking for someone dynamic, proactive and adaptable to new requirements for which there is often no single correct
