Family Safeguarding - Team Manager
Somerset County Council are looking to expand their current team. The Family Safeguarding team is looking for a Team Manager to join a well-structured and organised team. As well as joining a supportive team our client also offers a competitive salary, opportunities for training to enhance your skills and potential progression within your team. This Family Safeguarding Team Manager role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.
Family Safeguarding Team Manager Responsibilities Include:
You will be joining a permanent management team, to cover temporary absence and will be joining a team where we are all about relationship-based and strengths-based management, and where Team Managers work together across the service to provide an excellent service to families, and support and develop our teams.
You'll be encouraged to be an autonomous manager, but you'll be supported all the way by your colleagues and your line manager.
You'll be leading a Family Safeguarding team which is fully staffed, with a balance of experienced and newly qualified workers.
You will work with skilled adult-focussed practitioners and enjoy positive relationships with managers in the agencies who are part of our Family Safeguarding model.
Workers in our Family Safeguarding teams received positive feedback during our last Ofsted inspection and team diagnostics, for their proactive and thoughtful support to children and their families and the quality of their care planning
Requirements / Experience preferred:
HCPC Registration
1-2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
Eligibility to work in the UK.
