Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Traffic & Transportation Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing traffic and transportation projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage traffic and transportation projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and implement traffic management strategies and transportation plans.
- Conduct traffic impact assessments and feasibility studies.
- Design and review traffic and transportation infrastructure, including roads, intersections, and public transport systems.
- Provide technical advice and support to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and team members.
- Liaise with local authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present reports, proposals, and technical documentation.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
- Extensive experience in traffic and transportation engineering.
- Proficiency in traffic modeling software
- Strong knowledge of traffic management and transportation planning principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
