Are you passionate about supporting young adults in achieving their potential? Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic Further Education Support Assistant to join our dedicated team in Scarborough.
Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Job Type: Full-time/Part-time positions available
Salary: £85 - £90 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Your Role:
As a Further Education Support Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping students with diverse needs succeed in their educational journey. Working within a college setting, your responsibilities will include:
Providing one-to-one and group support for students with additional needs, such as learning difficulties, physical disabilities, or social and emotional challenges.
Assisting students in accessing the curriculum and developing independence.
Collaborating with teaching staff and external agencies to deliver tailored support.
Promoting a positive, inclusive, and empowering learning environment.
Monitoring progress and ensuring students feel supported both academically and personally.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience supporting young people in education or a care setting (desirable but not essential).
An understanding of SEND and strategies to support learners with additional needs.
Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
A proactive, patient, and encouraging attitude.
A valid DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
