Job Description
Technical Project Manager to help this Tier 1 supplier on key Telecom deliverables for a major utility's company. As project manager you will be pivotal in maintaining key relationships ensuring full lifecycle project management and working with other Tier 1 suppliers.
In the role of project manager you will be receiving work packages which will need delivering on time and on budget. Managing communication upgrades and configuration. Understanding of the communications and telecoms sector is important.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and deliver engineering and SCADA system solutions.
* Serve as the primary liaison for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
* Communicate with field operatives in installation and delivery
* Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
* Apply project management methodologies to maintain control and efficiency. Experience of waterfall, Prince 2 or similar is a must.
* And the importance of escalating any issues quickly. This company prefer to have bad news out early so they can deal with issues quickly. So need a Project Manager who is proactive and familiar with working in a small team
* Collaborate with other Tier 1 suppliers on the project
* measurable milestones and deliverables using key project management software (Jira, MS project)
Experience and Qualifications
* Proven experience in managing telecoms projects, ideally in the water/utilities sector.
* Qualifications: PRINCE2, APM, or PMP certification or similar; degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
* Knowledge of telecom technologies (e.g SCADA, telemetry) highly advantageous
* Budget management experience (£1M+), with a track record of delivering on time.
* Proficiency in project tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Knowledge of ITIL processes and service delivery frameworks is desirable.
This role is perfect for a proactive and results-driven Project Manager with a passion for delivering engineering and control system projects. Self starter, who is happy to visit sites to oversea project work
