Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Chef Manager to join our team in Godalming, United Kingdom. As the Chef Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, sustainable food products to our customers.
  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented environment
  • Develop and implement innovative menu plans that align with our brand standards and customer preferences
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control to maintain exceptional culinary standards
  • Manage inventory, food costs, and budgets to ensure operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for customers and staff
  • Conduct regular staff training and performance evaluations to enhance team capabilities
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Implement and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
  • Respond to customer feedback and adapt menus accordingly
  • Participate in menu development and pricing strategies to meet business objectives


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar senior culinary role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a kitchen team
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and menu planning
  • Excellent understanding of Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimise kitchen operations
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including early morning shifts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in kitchen management software and MS Office applications
  • Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ in Professional Cookery)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences
  • Reliable transportation for commuting to work

And are able to:
Be accountable for the Kiosk and the team, maintaining audit standards for food and health & safety compliance while meeting EHO expectations
Ensuring the team maintains a high standard of cleanliness and food safety on site to maintain a safe environment for our customers, our clients and ourselves
Highly organised, with a focus on forward planning
Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift
Accurately labelling products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift.
Be a skilled multitasker
An early riser as shifts can start at 6am some days
Learn new skills or improve skills already mastered
