Compliance IT Programme Manager

Initial 6 month Contract (potential to extend or go Perm)

Hybrid (3 days a week in London office)


Rate via Umbrella : £750 - £850 per day


We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance IT Programme Manager to join our client's Project Delivery team! As a Compliance IT Programme Manager, you will be responsible for managing significant projects such as strategic change management, new business and product initiatives, and process re-engineering.

About the Role:

• Work very closely with various business stakeholders to manage, analyse, and prioritise their requirements

• Ability to manage multiple data sources and display skills for focused analysis, trending, and qualitatively strong summarization of results.

• Lead developers in transforming data from the data warehouse into a suitable format for reporting purposes

• Work with developers to set up business function-specific data marts for self-service reporting

• Manage enhancements on existing Finance & Compliance functions and help develop new ones in line with organisational requirements

• Execute ad-hoc queries and analysis using tools including SQL Server, Excel & BI Tools

• Provide weekly updates to senior stakeholders

• Lead transformation initiatives and manage internal groups within Technology, Info Sec, Legal, Assurance, Contract Management

• Vendor management.



About You:

• Strong experience in a data analytics/reporting/management information role

• Communication skills and an ability to translate complex business processes into simple data & reporting solutions

• Prior experience of working with Finance or/and Compliance teams in a trading environment is highly desirable

• Hands-on experience of BI and Reporting projects

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organisation

• Excellent Business Analysis and organisational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time

• Experience in working in the energy industry for an investment bank, trading house, or utility

• Experience in working in an agile environment on a large transformation programme.



Nice To Have:

• Basic knowledge of SQL queries and executing SQL queries to extract data.

• Prior experience of working as Data Analyst with Compliance, Finance, Product Control, and/or Risk team

• Utilisation and development of mainstream Business Intelligence tools for data visualisation purposes

• Experience working on Reg Frameworks such as REMIT, EMIR, MIFID2, Dodd Frank

• Experience with working with trading exchanges and venues.

• Experience of practical implementation of AI in an Enterprise Organisation.
