Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing Education/Care Group to recruit a dynamic and driven Assistant Finance Business Partner. A permanent role joining the Finance Business Partnering team, where you will be expected to support, assist and guide the site's leadership teams within the group to maintain good budgetary control, financial analysis, forecasting and management account preparation. A remote role with ad-hoc travel to the Gloucester, Gloucestershire office, offering competitive benefits including a study package for CIMA/ACCA/AAT and flexible working hours. Suited to a progressive finance professional with strong MS excel skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Your new role
Your key duties will involve preparing month-end management accounts including accruals, prepayments, commentary and analysis. Assisting the Finance Business Partner with the preparation of annual budgets and monthly reforecasts, providing support and guidance to other finance team members within the team. You will support the preparation of balance sheets, intercompany recharges and assist in embedding financial controls/processes in various sites. You will business partner with a range of internal stakeholders and provide insightful analysis, performance monitoring and assist in financial modelling. You will be involved in ad-hoc duties and projects to support senior financial management.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this progressive Assistant Finance Business Partner role, you will need experience in a similar position, ideally studying towards completion of CIMA/ACCA/AAT with experience assisting with the preparation of management accounts. You will have strong MS excel skills, an excellent team player with strong communications skills, with an ability to clearly explain financial concepts to non-financial managers. You have strong accuracy skills with high attention to detail, a proactive and energetic approach to problem-solving, with the ability to challenge others when required. Able to manage your own workloads and have confidence to work with senior management across the organisation. Experience within the Education or Care sector would be advantageous but not essential.
What you'll get in return
This permanent and progressive Assistant Finance Business Partner role is offering a salary between £32,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependable on experience) with a study package for CIMA/ACCA/AAT.
