PURCHASING & PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

MONDAY - FRIDAY:

£32,000 - £35,000 PER ANNUM

People Solutions are actively recruiting for a driven and experienced Purchasing and Production Supervisor in Chessington.

This is a full-time and permanent position with a fantastic client within the manufacturing and production industry.

The ideal candidate will be well versed in a production environment and have experience in Purchasing and Stock Control

Day to Day Duties

As a Purchasing and Production Supervisor your duties will include:

• Control and monitoring all manufacturing purchasing. This includes reporting supplier performance to the Operations Manager
• Liaising directly with suppliers to ensure orders are delivered on the required dates and confirmations have been received at best price
• Maintain required stock levels by monitoring historical trends and setting minimum/maximum stock levels
• Booking in all deliveries onto the system
• Liaising directly with operational employees/suppliers to resolve any issues with deliveries received
• Induct temporary staff to the required Health and Safety requirements
• Works very closely with the Production Manager
• Material Issuing on the system
• Production planning
• Problem solving
• People management and monitoring staff performance against objectives, training and safe systems of work
• Initiates action to address shortfalls

Essential Skills

As a Purchasing and Production Supervisor it is essential that you:

• Have strong buying/purchasing experience within a manufacturing setting
• Have worked within production and manufacturing
• Comfortable with stock control procedure
• Clear and effective communication, both verbally and written

Desirable Experience

• Available to start as soon as possible.
