Overview dimensional checker
£37,440 to £38,480 per annum plus pension and other staff benefits
6am to 2pm Mon to Fri
Overtime available paid at premium rates plus double time on Sundays.
The dimensional checker-
This may be ideal for a fabricator/plater looking to get away from the tools
I am recruiting for a very successful steel company for a dimensional checker
The dimensional checker's duties include but not limited too-
Checking all new steel being delivered to make sure it is correct to the order sheets.
Check fabrications for dimension and correct size to the engineers drawings
To assist the QC
Ensure materials meet the correct grading to orders and jobs specified for
As a dimensional checker you must be methodical
Good working under pressure.
Be an excellent timekeeper

Overtime available paid at premium rates plus double time on Sundays.
Responsibilities
* Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments by checking items against packing lists and invoices.
* Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are maintained and discrepancies are reported promptly.
* Communicate effectively with team members and customers, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
* Assist in upselling products when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales opportunities.
* Provide support in a bilingual capacity, communicating with customers in both English and Spanish as needed.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
* To reduce risks. Proactively identifying potential problems early limits the likelihood of costly mistakes, customer dissatisfaction and reputational damage.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar role or relevant field is preferred.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess information quickly and accurately.
* Excellent communication skills
* Competence in data entry with attention to detail is essential.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
