We are a quaint and mighty, Independent Hotel in the Rutland area, blessed with extensive greenery and fine produce to use all year round. An opportunity has presented itself for an experiencedHead Chefto lead the team in the execution of the very best food in our well established and vibrant Kitchen.
TheHead Chefrole is one of the most important within the business and we want our new in-coming Chef to realise their ambitions as much as we want to realise ours. Our food offering is high-end and diverse and our kitchen team, motivated and meticulous in the execution of it. TheHead Chefwill be adept at producing consistently perfect food.

- Will have experience as a Head Chef running kitchens in a similar setting
- Will be fully compliant in terms of Food Safety and Allergen Awareness.
- Will be Adaptable, Calm, and Great at Communicating.
- Can inspire Junior Chefs, Train, and Mentor them, and be a rock for them to lean on.
- Can cook amazing food using the very best seasonal ingredients.
- Will have some experience in Banqueting.
TheTypical Responsibilitiesof ourHead Chefwill be
- To manage all kitchen operations successfully
- To ensure the highest standards of health & safety are always met and that the kitchen is always compliant.
- To run service and daily kitchen operations.
- To follow, support, push and improve, the highest levels of standards in terms of what we produce for our guests.
- Train, encourage and motivate all junior chefs, and enable them to progress and learn in an inclusive environment.
- To be responsible for the control and replenishment of all consumable stock and ensuring that all orders are received in their entirety and distributed and available as appropriate.
- To support the Head Chef in ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen, storerooms, fridges and other associated areas and that they are in line with all current legislation regarding food safety and HACCP.
- To record and maintain accurate daily and weekly checks regarding Health & Safety and Hygiene.
- To communicate, in a friendly and professional manner, with all other departments in relation to any guest requirements and that our obligations to them are met in full.
