We are looking for a dynamic Sales Director to support existing customers, drive new Sales opportunities and lead the business through its next exciting growth phase. This role is hands-on in an entrepreneurial environment with involvement in NPD, Sales & Marketing and developing new channels to grow the brand to the next level, with a focus on the foodservice channel. However there is an opportunity for Grocery, should it be the right business.


The opportunity to be part of a longer-term strategy and board of the business will be a key driver to delivering growth and demonstrating a desire to be part of this success story and on to the next phase of the journey.


The Opportunity:

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a seasoned sales-driven leader who has an entrepreneurial flair and has ambitions to be part of / lead a team to the exciting next phase. As Sales Director, you’ll be instrumental in scaling the business by driving sales growth, expanding the foodservice channel, and evolving the company’s overall commercial strategy. Reporting directly to the founders, you’ll take a hands-on role in managing key customer relationships, identifying new customers and exploring new market opportunities. The company has ambitious growth potential both within foodservice and in time, within retail, with ambitions to become a household name synonymous with quality products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a robust sales strategy to drive sustainable growth within the foodservice channel.
  • Sales Growth: Manage and lead the sales function to grow revenue and market share, leveraging the brand's unique positioning and product offering.
  • Customer Relationships: Cultivate new and manage existing relationships with key foodservice clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction.
  • Market Expansion: Identify new opportunities for growth, including untapped customer segments, product innovation, and geographical expansion.
  • Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and inspire a small but highly effective team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • P&L Ownership: Drive financial performance, with full accountability for the P&L and delivering results aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Work closely with the founders to understand the business’s DNA.


What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking an entrepreneurial leader with the vision and drive to take the business to the next level. You’ll be a commercially astute, proven sales-driven individual with deep experience in the foodservice sector and a proven track record of delivering growth. This is an individual who has flair, and drive and wants to create a business that they will ultimately share in the longer term success.


Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years in senior sales and commercial roles within FMCG, foodservice, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrable success in driving sales growth and developing high-performing teams.
  • Leadership: Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and motivate others.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: A strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, founder-led environment and has the ambition to own and run a business.
  • Relationship Builder: Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L management and financial planning.
