Job Description
Job Overview As the Head of Applications, Development and Delivery, you will take a leadership role in planning, managing, and delivering high-impact custom software projects. You will oversee multiple operational teams while building strong relationships with customers and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture within your teams. Your role will require strategic thinking, problem-solving, and a proactive approach to managing project complexities. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery Track project tasks, milestones, deliverables, and key dates to ensure seamless delivery. Proactively manage risks, expectations, resources, deliverables, and budgets. Take end-to-end ownership of custom software delivery projects, typically ranging from 6 to 18 months. Collaborate with and lead five or more operational teams across projects. Perform real-time business analysis and problem-solving with rapid context-switching as required. People Management Form and stabilize software delivery teams through onboarding, offboarding, and rotations. Build team cohesion, establish team identity, and drive a strong delivery culture. Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to teams, emphasizing communication and collaboration. Conduct performance reviews, one-on-one meetings, and career development planning for team members. Customer Engagement Serve as the primary point of contact for customer accounts, managing relationships and financials. Prepare, deliver, and track customer status reports. Facilitate customer feedback sessions during demos, meetings, and calls. Seek opportunities to strengthen customer partnerships and foster long-term relationships. Qualifications and Experience A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields (BSc, BIS, BCom, BEng). At least 8 years of experience in the IT industry as an Analyst, Project Manager, or Software Developer with consulting exposure. A minimum of 5 years of experience leading and managing teams, including coaching, performance management, and culture development. Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with a passion for continuous improvement. Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide team members, fostering growth and motivation. Proven customer-facing abilities with experience managing accounts, expectations, and feedback. Flexibility to adapt to varied environments and tools in a hybrid working model (2–3 days in the office weekly).
