JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is recruiting Electrical Engineers for projects.
The project is a full chain carbon capture and storage (CCS) project that aims to support the United Kingdom's Net Zero commitments by developing the world's first zero-carbon industrial hub by 2030 in the North East of England.
The Project scope includes
Delivery of a new CCGT Power, Capture and Compression (PCC) plant including a 275kV electrical connection to National Grid.
Onshore CO2 gathering pipeline network and natural gas pipeline.
Two export pipelines and associated beach crossings.

This position is based full time in the contractor's offices in Paris.
The position will report to the Electrical Lead Engineer and will support and be responsible for various electrical package management, contractor scopes of work and electrical engineering verification activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
Degree in relevant Engineering discipline
Experience of FEED/EPC environment on major Projects.
Experience in design, procurement and testing of electrical equipment viz. 275kV AIS, 66kV GIS, Transformers, HV/LV switchgear, Electrical Control System, etc.
Experience for electrical scope in multidiscipline equipment packages (CCGT, compressors, ICSS, etc.) procurement and testing.
Good understanding of UK regulatory requirements relating to electrical equipment design, procurement and operation.
Knowledge of real time simulation and modelling of power systems using electrical software (Digsilent power factory and PSCAD or similar)
Desirable Criteria
Professional / Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards
Experience of high voltage power systems (275kV or 66kV) grid connections in the UK
Experience with public electrical Grid and Transmission system operator interface management
Knowledge of Grid assessment / Grid stability / Grid code compliance
