Full-Time
Monday-Friday 8:00a-4:30p, some weekends and after-hours availability as needed
Pay
Anticipated pay range for this position: $23.62/hr-$31.49/hr*, Non-Exempt
*Pay will be commensurate with the experience, skills, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position.
Job Summary
Responsible for general building and grounds maintenance at all ConnectLife locations. Oversees shipping and receiving, including all service contracts with ConnectLife. Responsible for ensuring all company vehicles are in compliance with NYS DMV regulations, vehicle maintenance, paperwork, and routine servicing. Provides leadership and oversight of Facilities staff.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Previous supervisory/management experience required.
Shipping/receiving experience a plus.
Mechanical background preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have basic knowledge of building and vehicle maintenance.
Must be computer proficient.
Must be adaptable to change, detail oriented, and highly organized with the ability to think critically and multi-task while maintaining focus and accuracy through interruptions.
Must be self-motivated and reliable with a professional appearance and demeanor.
Must have a valid and clean NYS driver’s license and the capability to obtain a CDL license to drive a bus and must have reliable transportation. Some travel required.
Essential Job Functions:
Communicates organizational needs, manages workflow of staff, and provides guidance and support as needed.
Manages staff by addresses attendance, performance, and behavioral issues, provides counseling, disciplinary action and performance improvement plans as needed with guidance from the human resources department.
Oversee Facility staff to ensure daily custodial services are completed. This includes but is not limited to: cleaning restrooms, stocking and maintaining necessary supplies and schedule of duties that need to be completed weekly, monthly, quarterly etc.
Oversees building and grounds maintenance for all Connectlife Sites.
Oversee shipping and receiving to ensure all incoming/outgoing packages are process and tracked properly and timely.
Coordinates and secures purchasing of goods and services for staff, including all service contracts and leases on equipment. Collaborate with department heads and senior management to develop/maintain an effective materials management system. Responsible for timely compliance with all policies and programs.
Performs, monitors and schedules general and preventative maintenance for ConnectLife vehicles as well as scheduling and logistics of vendor performed repairs. Maintains vehicle maintenance history log in both electronic and paper form. Schedules all PM and general maintenance for vehicles including emergency repairs.
Maintains an inventory of consumable items used by/for vehicles and generators (i.e., bulbs, fluids, and filters).
Responds to all Work Order tickets, replacing air/water filters, light bulbs, and ballasts, ceiling tiles and performing a multitude of basic carpentry/electrical/plumbing functions as the job demands, while ensuring a high quality of work done.
Perform the following tasks as a backup as needed:
Performs shipping/receiving functions for the facility.
Remove all garbage and cardboard from warehouse area and wash down bay areas on a scheduled basis. Responsible for consolidating and scheduling pickup for all recyclables.
Be familiar with and carry out all HAZMAT policies and procedures including daily collection of HAZMAT containers. Maintains safety standards for facility, including but not limited to, snow removal from doorways and walkways, identify/remove slip and fall hazards.
Assists with pick-ups and deliveries as needed.
Maintains CDL License and performs CDL duties for blood drives as needed.
