Job Description
Brook Street is working alongside a well-established Accountancy Practice in Belfast in their search for a dedicated Payroll Bureau Specialist to join their dynamic finance team. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in payroll processing who are eager to contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing: Accurately prepare and process weekly and monthly payrolls for clients.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant payroll regulations and timely submissions.
Payment Processing: Handle BACS payment processing and HMRC reporting.
Forecasting: Provide payroll projections and forecasting as required.
Pension Administration: Assist with pension scheme administration and consultancy services.
Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
Experience and Qualifications
Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
Legislation Knowledge: Sound knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); prior experience in an accounting firm or payroll bureau is advantageous.
Desirable Qualifications
Certification: CIPP payroll certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Tax, Maths, Finance, or related fields is preferred.
