Job Description

Our client is a reputable and market leading business that has experienced year on year growth and has an exciting growth strategy in place for their future success. They are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fully office-based role with on-site parking.

Senior Financial Accountant - About The Role

* Month end reporting

* Assist in developing IT systems and controls

* Deliver technical projects

* Periodic review of SAP for compliance and evolve both controls and day to day process with Financial Controller

* Ensure timely review and close of month end accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers

* Ensure timely review and close of intercompany account reconciliations, month end bank account reconciliations and prepayment account reconciliations

* Review and analysis of monthly cost accruals

* Preparation of monthly reporting packs and understand key underlying business trends to support continuous financial and operational improvement

* Timely VAT return submission and payment requests

* Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasts

* Support the annual audit process and liaising with external auditors

* Other ad-hoc finance related duties

The successful Senior Financial Accountant will have/be:

* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 5 years’ experience

* Experience in audit of clients, group consolidations, multi-currency, multi entity and Financial Controls

* Good technical knowledge of FRS102 and IFRS

* Strong system skills including advanced Excel - experience in SAP is desirable

* Adaptable and resilient, able to work in a continuously changing environment and meet demanding deadlines

* Excellent time management/organisational and multi-tasking skills

* Results orientated, accountable for own work and demonstrate integrity

* Strong analytical skills and a problem solver who can work through complex issues

* Strong communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team to achieve results as well as individually
