Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an Aircrew Equipment Assemblies (AEA) Supervisor for our client based on the Isle of Anglesey
The rate of pay is available upon request.
Summary
As a AEA Supervisor you will play an integral role in the day-to-day maintenance of AEA, aligning to our Client’s values you will promote a safe working culture, collaboratively working to help achieve the company goal of providing trained pilots as part of the UKMFTS programme.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Experience
At least 5 years’ experience of working in an SE/AEA Supervisory role.
A demonstrable track record of working in an operational AEA maintenance section.
Proven experience of being able to self-motivate as a lone worker in an operational AEA maintenance section.
Experience of working closely with multi-site teams, building relationships, and leveraging them to deliver outstanding performance in a highly regulated environment.
Desirable Experience
Proficiency in use of common software packages including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Essential Qualifications Desirable Qualifications
· Recognised RAF Survival Equipment Course (or civilian equivalent)
· Recognised Q-SE-AC or GAEA qualification
· Recognised Human Factors training.
· Recognised training qualification.
Roles & Responsibilities
Knowledge of the organizations AEA Departmental Exposition.
Ensuring that all AEA supplied is the correct size and fit for service use.
Safeguarding that Aircrew/Student are issued with the correct scale of serviceable AEA in a timely manner prior to them commencing their flying training.
Ensuring that all items of AEA/SE issued are recorded on an AEA/SE issue pro-forma, signed, and dated by the recipient.
Preparing a maintenance plan for periodic cycles to maximize the availability of serviceable AEA & SE items.
Ensuring sufficient stocks of serviceable/compliant drill equipment, AEA/SE is made available to allow for both “dry” and “wet” drill training.
Make certain that the upkeep, maintenance, and safe custody of all AEA & SE Documentation are completed, legibly and correctly in accordance with the current procedures.
Confirming the maintenance, rectification, and modification of AEA and SE located at our Client’s sites, RAF Cranwell, RAF Barkston Heath, and RAF Valley is undertaken in accordance with the relevant authorised publications and instructions.
Responsible for checking the amendments to publications/manuals are inserted and the publication/manual amendment record updated accordingly.
Submission, when required of MOD Form 760 Defect Reports and MOD Form 765 Unsatisfactory Features reports.
Observing safe working practices and regulations laid down by higher authority governing the conduct of their trade duties.
Compliant with the provisions of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), the Health and Safety at Work (HSW) Act and the regulations arising relevant to his/her area of responsibility.
Ensuring that all activities including AEA & SE maintenance comply with the current Quality Assurance Plan, identify non-conformities, and escalate to the AEA Manager for their resolution.
Demonstrating and exercising responsibilities and implementation of safe working practices in the AEA and SE maintenance bays.

Detailed knowledge of AEA and SE.
Knowledge and application of maintenance methods on AEA and SE.
Ability to fault find and carry out diagnostics on both AEA and SE.
Ability to complete sizing for AEA including above and below neck and familiar with instructing aircrew in functional fit exercises.
Application of the appropriate safety precautions in the work area especially with regards to compressed gas cylinders and pyrotechnics.
Ability to maintain the AEA/SE Equipment Databases.
Knowledge and experience of MoD Maintenance Forms.
Ability to use Information Technology (IT) systems.
Good communication and literacy skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with varied stakeholder groups and demonstrable teamwork skills.
