Job Description
Senior HyCO Expert Consultant - Paris/Houston – Full Time, Part Time, Freelance Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior HyCO (Hydrogen and Carbon Monoxide) Expert Consultant to lead and support projects in the production, optimization, and management of HyCO systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong chemical engineering background, deep expertise in steam methane reforming (SMR), partial oxidation (POX), autothermal reforming (ATR), and associated technologies, as well as experience in decarbonization initiatives and hydrogen economy applications. Key Responsibilities: Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance on HyCO production technologies, including process design, operation, optimization, and troubleshooting. Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations, and risk assessments for HyCO production systems. Recommend innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency, reduce emissions, and enhance overall performance. Project Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary teams in the development and execution of HyCO-related projects, including greenfield and brownfield projects. oDevelop and oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution. Decarbonization and Innovation: Drive the development of low-carbon hydrogen solutions, leveraging expertise in blue and green hydrogen technologies. Collaborate with R&D teams to evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the development of new HyCO innovations. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; PhD is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in HyCO production, hydrogen technologies, or industrial gas operations, with a focus on process design, optimization, or technology development. Technical Skills: Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS). Strong knowledge of HyCO production technologies, including SMR, POX, and ATR. Familiarity with carbon capture and hydrogen production technologies (blue and green hydrogen). Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with decarbonization projects or renewable energy integration. Familiarity with emerging hydrogen technologies, such as solid oxide electrolyzers or biomass-to-hydrogen systems. Involvement in industry conferences or publications related to hydrogen or HyCO technologies.
