Your Impact:
At Rexel, we make our teams more successful by becoming a data driven company through the systematic adoption of predictive analytics and testing generative AI in multiple use cases.
As the Data Office Lead, within the department Group Transformation, IT and Digital, your role is key for this transformation, aligning data initiatives with Rexel's business strategy, creating a data-driven culture.
Your mission is to grow data usage within the group Rexel, and to develop the group Data Platform by contributing to the data-strategy, driving the adoption of standards of documentation and data models, and ensuring the re-usability of the data-assets for multiple solutions and users.
Your day to day :
- Data governance:
- Defining data ownership across the organization
- Collaborating with the data architecture in maintaining a governance framework (standards, security, data quality)
- Referent for Data quality methodology and ensuring leading role in the design of the project Data Observability
- Facilitate accessibility and correct usage of data:
- Ensuring updated data asset documentation (datasets, glossary) and training
- Referent for the set-up of the Self-service data project (scoping, design & adoption)
- Bring expertise (data understanding & discovery phase) on new data solutions
- Ensure that the data model modifications are consistent across all solutions and comply with functional requirements and defined standards & governance framework
- Provide ad hoc analysis on data usages, tooling and processes
- Contribute to the vision of Data & Analytics (Data usage, capabilities and governance)
Your strenghts and skills :
- Master's degree in computer science
- 5 years as data-analyst involved in the implementation of business solutions
- Expertise in the Retail data-model, multi-entity and international environment
- Good skills in completing data analysis, and using tools (Snowflake, GIT, Power BI) and languages (SQL)
- Good expertise in Information Technology systems:
- Data modeling principles / methods including conceptual, logical & physical Data Models
- Experience in data project delivery (Agile)
- Hands-on experience in Data Governance, Data Catalogue tooling and Data-Quality management
- Excellent leadership skills with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Ability and seniority to challenge country business teams and project teams, as well as IT Delivery & architecture regarding existing processes and habits
- Pragmatic and capable of solving complex situations when translating business operations into data constraints, and capacity to find agreed and common solutions from multiple stakeholders
- Ability to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable language for stakeholders to drive engagement and informed decision-making
