Our client is a well-established company which is presented around the world, one of the top leaders in Additive and Color solutions for the Plastic Industry.

From our base in France , we serve more than 3,000 customers worldwide, particularly in the sectors home, sport and leisure, toys, automotive, electrical and electronics, and building materials.


We are looking for a new Technical Product Manager for the French site to be a part of a successful global story.

This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise in plastics and colorants, product management skills, and customer-facing experience, making it ideal for someone with a strong background in both the technical and business aspects of the plastics industry.


Responsibilities:

· Working extensively with the customers in the region, supporting sales team from the profesional perspective, solving bottle necks

· Generating formulations recipes based on customer specifications and application-specific properties, responsible for providing an ongoing response and support to production, sales team and customers.

· Developing and improving formulations following customers requests

· Improving and streamlining the laboratory work, including work methods and procedures characterization.

· Meeting product delivery times to customers while maintaining high quality.

· Compliance with regulations and the plastic industry standards.

· Managing interfaces with production, development, planning, purchasing and customer service departments.


Requirements:

Technical Expertise

  • Extensive knowledge of colorants, pigments, and additives for plastics
  • Understanding of color matching techniques and software
  • Familiarity with various polymer types and their properties
  • Knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes and technologies


Product Management Skills

  • Experience in product lifecycle management
  • Ability to develop and manage product roadmaps
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


Customer Relations

  • Experience working directly with clients and managing customer relationships
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the plastics or chemical industry


Additional Skills

Proficiency in color measurement instruments and software

Understanding of sustainability trends in plastics manufacturing

Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations


Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments and changing market demands
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
