Summary / Role Purpose Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to partner with our customers to engineer what's ahead, solve their real-world engineering problems, deploy Ansys software in their design workflows, and grow Ansys’ business. You will join a diverse team of global experts in a unique experience in support of the Ansys Discovery product and use your advanced-level engineering knowledge to provide technical pre-sales support, perform professional services, and help translate customer requirements into exciting new product features. You will be working within multi-disciplinary teams to advance your knowledge, experience, and business impact. In this dynamic customer-facing role, you will have the opportunity to engage with industry-leading companies across the world to ensure technical and business success in the upfront simulation market. Key Duties and Responsibilities Work closely with the immediate supervisor to enhance engineering knowledge, learn relevant Ansys products and gain experience in customer communication. Become an expert in the Ansys Discovery product. Apply engineering expertise and knowledge of Ansys Discovery to provide highest level technical support to customers and Channel Partners, ensuring high-quality, timely customer service that results in improved customer satisfaction and productivity. Proactively engage with selected accounts, and work with Ansys subject matter experts to provide comprehensive solutions to customers’ problems. Contribute to technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, interact with customers to understand their product design needs and engineering design workflows. Instruct introductory training classes and contribute to the delivery of professional services for projects which might include collaborative work with other field engineers in the same or different disciplines. Gather customer requirements to support the improvement of Ansys software and collaborate with the Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into new product capabilities. Test new releases on industrial problems. Participate in internal corporate initiatives to share knowledge and to create best practices, inside the discipline and cross-disciplines. Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience Required education and degree type: BS in Mechanical/Aerospace/Electrical/Material Science Engineering or related field. Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS0. Solid understanding of numerical methods used in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and/or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages. Knowledge and practical experience with CAD-Embedded simulation tools. Strong problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work on multiple projects which are complex in nature. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and maintain a sense of urgency. Professional demeanor and strong business acumen, demonstrating a results-driven mindset and a commitment to success. Demonstrated skills in writing and presenting in fluent English. Ability to travel up to 25% of time. Preferred Qualifications and Skills Preferred education and degree type: MS or PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace/Electrical/Material Science Engineering or related field. 1–2 years of professional experience in a related role, such as engineering analysis and FEA/CFD simulation. Internships or university projects involving simulation, analysis, or software applications related to engineering (e.g. Formula Student, European Rocketry Challenge, etc.).
